I have taught privately since I was at university in 1995. My first student was when I was in third year Uni and I was happy to prepare her for her successful audition into the University Of Southern Queensland just as I graduated with my Bachelor Of Music at the end of the year.

After a brief period playing for bands and theatre companies in the UK I moved back to Australia and began teaching in Melbourne; privately, and for a music school called 'Music Network' in Essendon. At this school I taught mostly Classical music to children aged 6-17 but my private students were also interested in gypsy, jazz and folk - as well as improvisation in general.

Since moving to the UK in late 2009 I've enjoyed performing with many different bands, especially playing jazz ballads with pianist Jim Blomfield in 'Zero Day Jazz Trio'. I also play in gypsy jazz groups around Bristol and Stroud and have found many students who enjoy learning this style of music also.

I am a very friendly and easy going person. As well as teaching I enjoy dancing tango and writing. I've two novels recently completed and I'm currently working on the outline for a third. I always like to keep busy with different creative projects and exploring new ideas.
